ABOUT THE ARTIST

Grace Moore is a London-born ceramic artist living and working in Kingston, NY. She attended SUNY New Paltz to earn a BFA in Ceramics. As well as maintaining her personal studio practice, she is also an instructor at Kingston Ceramics Studio in midtown Kingston and Fall Kill Creative Works in Poughkeepsie.

Grace has a passion for making in many different ways and has a background in music as well as visual arts. She has been playing the violin since 1999 and her academic endeavors started with studying classical violin at NYU before transferring to SUNY New Paltz to achieve her goal of becoming a visual artist.

This love for creating in many forms manifests in multimedia sculpture, an exploration of different craft techniques and materials, as well as the interplay between forms and surfaces in her functional ware.
